Director and Senior Solicitor
What makes me tick?
I’m driven by my desire to be the best I possibly can be at whatever I do and help others achieve that as well. That doesn’t mean being perfect or even being better than anyone else, it simply means striving to be the best that you can be at whatever you set your mind to. It’s also about recognising that everyone is on their own personal journey and helping them along. As a corporate/commercial solicitor I am uniquely placed to be able to help businesses and business people to reach their potential by taking the hassle out of legal contracts, leaving them to focus on what really matters - their business.
I qualified as a solicitor in 2008 at a large local firm. I then worked for another firm in Hull before joining James Legal in 2012. A change of circumstances led to a move to Leeds in 2016 where I worked for Blacks Solicitors before returning to James Legal in 2019 as a director and heading up the Corporate/Commercial team.
Outside of work
Most of my free time is spent with my family – my wife and two young children – but I’m also a member of the Army Reserve and spend a fair amount of time running, practicing yoga and pretending to be a surfer.
