We welcome Nicky Mounsor to our team!20-09-2019
We’re delighted to welcome conveyancing expert – and all round lovely lady – Nicky Mounsor to our James Legal ‘family’.
Nicky, who has provided conveyancing help to clients across East Yorkshire, and Beverley in particular, since 1993, brings a huge amount of experience to our existing, highly-skilled and committed team.
She will be based at our Beverley office, on Annie Reed Court, off Annie Reed Road, and will be on-hand to help clients in the town and surrounding area with all manner of property transactions, from residential property sales and purchases and re-mortgages, to buy-to-let and let-to-buy matters.
Well known and regarded in the region, Nicky said of her new appointment at James Legal: “I have always really loved my area of law, and the satisfaction of supporting clients through from that initial meeting or telephone call, to completion of their transaction.
“I understand how stressful buying or selling a property can be, because it’s about people’s whole lives, not just bricks and mortar. So, I make it my mission to be there, holding their hand, from start to finish. I am always at the end of the phone and ready to listen, because I know how important it is to clients, to have someone there to guide them through the process – it’s not just about the legal advice.”
What can our clients expect from their dealings with Nicky?
“I’m very tenacious,” she said. “Every client and every transaction is different, but I really get my teeth into handling things for them and dealing with some of the inevitable problems that arise with property matters. I like to look after everyone to the point where they feel like they are my only client.”
And she has one, slight, confession.
“I am incredibly meticulous,” said Nicky. “But I tell myself that’s a good thing, as being organised and having a robust paper trail is vitally important to keeping a close handle on conveyancing cases!”
And about joining James Legal?
“I feel really privileged to be joining such a warm, friendly and professional team, who actively demonstrate James Legal’s fresh approach to law.
“As an experienced lawyer, it’s also lovely to work for a legal firm that encourages each employee to work to their individual strengths and ‘be who we are’ at work, rather than expecting us to fit into boxes.
“I’m quite old-fashioned in some of my procedures, things like keeping detailed records. While some legal firms are becoming impersonal, with call centres and such things, it’s nice to be able continue in a firm that values that human touch. When it comes to conveyancing, I believe that – caring for the person behind the transaction – is vitally important.
“Joining this respected firm at a time of even further expansion is an exciting new opportunity which has come just at the right time for me. It’s also great to work closely with a team who have experience of wider issues such as litigation, family matters, later-life legal matters and business and employment law, so that I can cross-refer and provide my clients with more joined-up solutions.
“I’m really looking forward to the new challenge this new start represents, in a firm that feels like an ideal cultural fit for me.”
